BET Cuts "106 & Park" Short for Jay-Z Special

Yesterday (September 10th), BET cut one of their most popular shows, 106 & Park, short for a special interview with Jay-Z, who recently released his tenth studio album The Blueprint 3.

The interview, which is titled Food For Thought: Conversation With Jay-Z, premiered at 7 pm EST and was taped in Sequoia's restaurant in Manhattan's South Street Seaport.

Chicago Fan Stabbed After Jay-Z Concert

A Chicago man took a knife to the back during an argument turned ugly following a Tuesday (September 8) night Jay-Z concert.

Jay took the stage at the city's House of Blues venue to support the same day release of his highly-anticipated album The Blueprint 3.

The gig went off without a hitch, but violence erupted following Jay's set when two women began arguing.

Their respective male companions soon joined in and one ended up being stabbed in the back.

"The women were exchanging words and it escalated to a small shoving match. The men sort of stepped in and it... escalated to where the men got into the confrontation," said Chicago Police spokesperson Gabrielle Lesniak.

The 20-year-old unnamed victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where it was determined that his injuries were not life threatening.

Sources close to the incident say the alleged attacker was taken into custody at the scene.

In other Jay-Z concert news, the rapper also made headlines for having a New York performance interrupted by the fire department.

Jay-Z Expresses Thoughts On Latest "Blueprint", Credits West For Brilliant Production

Jay- Z's Blueprint 3, the seasoned emcee keenly dubbed as Hova wastes no time giving credit to super producer Kanye West on his work towards the LP - it was the biggest contribution from West since the first Blueprint album.

The city of Chicago welcomed Jay-Z on Tuesday (September 8), giving him a chance to perform while promoting his new highly anticipated album. There was no question about who Jay set out to commend, and destroy, as he released a series of radiant bars. He aimed to shed light on the brilliant work of Kanye, a certain Pied Piper, and a couple of iconic friends.

"The Blueprint that 'Ye followed/ Too hard a pill for R. Kelly to swallow," Jay rapped. "But I helped your other man/ Now the whole world gotta listen to Chicago/ Obama, O. Winfrey, ask them about me/ They'll tell you the boy's windy/ That boy Hov so cold/ That when you come to my shows, it's like it just snowed 10 feet/ I got my hat broke off/ I report to the ghetto, I'm the black Brokaw/ No, I'm the rap 2-3/ So any championships must go through me."

Following the mentally indulging performance, the front-runner of Roc Nation spoke with the Associated Press on Wednesday (September 9) - Kanye West again found himself the center of Jay's praises. Jay-Z mentioned witnessing the growth of West, evolving from an eager rookie to highly regarded super producer.

"The most interesting thing in the studio was Kanye, because of Kanye's growth," he explained. "You got to figure on the first Blueprint, he was a new producer, so he was just putting in the beats and moving out the way. On this one, he had an opinion about how the songs should sound, and it was just great energy that we had in the studio."
