Last year a study put NCAA football on blast for not hiring black head coaches. Earlier this year, former Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy called out the universities for those same hiring practices and then called them out again during the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) announcements this week. On the Sunday night football pre-show on NBC, host Dan Patrick asked Dungy if the schools are guilty of institutionalized racism.

"The numbers would tell you that it is," Dungy said. "Of the BCS schools... one minority coach out of 65 in 2009. That is disgraceful.

"One BCS school where I knew the athletic director personally... Mike Tomlin was the defensive coordinator with the Vikings," Dungy continued. "I said this is a guy you need to talk to. Mike didn't even get an interview. A month later, he's the head coach of the Steelers. That's the difference between the NCAA and the NFL right now."

So what does Dungy think needs to happen?

"It lies with the (university) presidents," he said. "I was at an athletic directors meeting in Indianapolis, and they told me all about boosters and alumni and all the different people that go in to the decision making. But it comes down to the presidents. They are the leaders of these universities. They've got to step up and say, 'We're going to do the right thing. We're going to hire qualified people. We're going to hire the best man for the job regardless of what boosters or anyone else has to say.' "

Chris Brown's "Graffiti" To Enter Charts At #3

According to Hits Daily Double, Chris Brown's third solo album is on target to sell between 95-100k records for his first week. He will take the #3 spot, as Susan Boyle's debut album, whose third week totals could hit 600k continues to fly off the shelves. Taking the #2 spot will be the soundtrack to the FOX hit show, Glee With Glee Vol. 2, which will sell between 120-130k copies.

In a recent interview with MTV, the R&B singer said: "My fans [have] given me a great response on the album. They actually said they love it. They tell me what songs they love. Like 99 percent of the comments are all positive about the album. I didn't get the way they looked at my album. I just felt like there was a little bit of hate because of the situation and not because of the music. But we're gonna keep it moving."

Southern rapper Gucci Mane released his major label debut album The State vs. Radric Davis this week, and is expected to sell between 85-95k records. Snoop Dogg's Malice N Wonderland projection falls in the 55-65k range, and producer Timbaland's Shock Value 2 will reach 35-40k in sales. Virginia hip-hop duo The Clipse and their third studio album Till The Casket Drops should sell between 30-35k.

40/40 Club Security Fired Over Beating

According to the Press Of Atlantic City, bouncers at Jay-Z’s AC 40/40 club were fired after footage surfaced of them thrashing two patrons a few weeks ago. Police say charges will be filed against the assailants. That’s not how it’s supposed to get in the club.

Almost a year since the Obama family moved to Washington, D.C., the first lady reflected on the transition to the White House.

“It has been a whirlwind. But it’s been amazing,” she told Walters. “I mean, if you think about this year, I had to get these two beautiful girls settled into a new city, into a new home, into a new school. We got a dog. I visited eight countries with my husband. I planted a garden. I’ve started a mentoring program. It has been everything. And now, here we are at our first Christmas in the White House.”

During her tenure as first lady, Obama has promoted healthy living and taken steps to combat childhood obesity — creating a vegetable garden on the White House lawn and holding health fairs with exercise stations for kids.

“I think I’ve begun to lay the foundation to a conversation about the health of our kids — particularly when we’re looking at statistics that say that one in three kids in this country are obese, and those numbers increase if you’re African-American or Hispanic,” she said. “So we’re going to spend a lot more time on that issue in the years to come.”

The first African-American first lady is also one of the fittest. Wearing a sleeveless dress in her official White House portrait, Obama’s toned arms have become part of her signature style — and the envy of many. Obama, who often joins her husband in the White House gym, told Walters that her workout regimen began after the birth of their first daughter, Malia.

“My personal routine hasn’t changed much in the past 11 years,” she said. “I really started right after I had Malia, our oldest, and some of that was, you know, in all honesty it was a little sort of revenge because I’m married to a man who has worked out all of his life. And regardless of how busy he is, he finds the time to work out. And there was a point at which I got a little resentful of that.”

“[Malia] was still waking up for that four o’clock feeding and I’d get up because I’d be the first one to hear her, and he’d be asleep,” she added. “And I thought, ‘I’m up, I might as well go to the gym. And if I get to the gym, then he’ll have to wake up and do that feeding.’ I get a workout in and everyone will be happy. So you know, if there’s anything that I can attribute these arms to, it’s probably just determination.”

The Obamas who have been married for 17 years have had their share of ups and downs. Michelle Obama told Walters that despite her confidence in her husband’s natural ability, at a certain point, the grueling demands of politics bothered her.

“I had always had this dilemma,” she said. “It wasn’t that I didn’t believe in my husband as a phenomenal leader. I mean, that was always the pull — because I always thought, ‘Well, if I wanted somebody as my state senator, or as my U.S. senator, or as my president, I would want Barack Obama.’ And the only reason he wouldn’t do it is if I said no.”

When asked by Walters if the president would have stopped pursuing politics if she really put her foot down, the first lady said, “He would have.”

R&B singer Kelis sat down with Pop Bytes recently for an exclusive interview after signing a new deal with Interscope Records. In the interview she talked about her new song “Acapella”, taking a break from twitter and her feelings on Lady Gaga & Rihanna:

“She’s a youngin. I appreciate it. It’s interesting actually. I appreciate her visually. I really appreciate her visually. I say this all the time, being pretty is exhausting and it’s boring. I think that when you are not afraid to not be pretty and just kind of go there… and I’m not saying that she’s not pretty but I’m saying that as far as the choices she makes fashion wise… That’s what’s fun.

She’s separate from it because she’s white. As a black female I always say, “Look at us”. The ones that they let in, we pretty much all look the same at the end of the day. WE are all the same complexion, same color hair, same build..it’s like “where’s the variation”. And its because what’s safe and what’s acceptable..and what’s pretty. Pretty is annoying and it’s boring. You don’t get any credit for being pretty because it’s what your parents did and what God did so if you can actually do something creative and do something that’s not always easy on the eye, I can appreciate it.

On how she feels about Rihanna Jacking Her Style
“You know what. Listen, it’d be totally ridiculous for me to not acknowledge it if someone asks. The reality is, what is she like 20? I mean, what else is she supposed to do? I mean honestly. I don’t have any animosity at all whatsoever. That’s what she’s supposed to do.”

Kelis has to be flattered that she wore half of these hairstyles that Rihanna and some of the other girls are rocking now years ago.

Raekwon On TIME Magazine Honor & Kanye speaks on his EW honor

Raekwon called Angela Yee about earning a spot on TIME magazine’s best album of the year list.

TIME magazine named Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 the #7 album of the year. In fact, it’s also the only rap album listed. Congrats! Here’s what they had to say:

The sequel to Raekwon’s much loved 1995 solo debut picks up as if no time has passed. He’s still rhyming about cocaine deals, hustlers and urban menace — which makes for an elevated degree of difficulty, since a song about the production of crack (“Pyrex Vision”) should be not only impotent in 2009, but deservedly so. Former 3-6 Mafia member GANGSTA BOO Charged In Armed Robbery?

Lola Chantrelle Mitchell, who goes by the stage name Gangsta Boo, was one of two suspects arrested in connection with the robbery of a Dollar General store on July 23rd of this year.

Boo turned herself into the police on Tuesday (December 8) after learning of the warrant against her for conspiracy to commit armed robbery in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Her actual role in the crime was not released by police, but her alleged accomplice Marcus Curtis, 30, is being charged as the gunman.

According to the Desoto Times, Curtis is accused of approaching a female Dollar General employee as she exited the store shortly before 9 pm July 23rd, and with a black revolver in hand ordered her to return inside and empty a cash register. He then also forced a male employee to place money from the store's safe into a bag before demanding employees to lie on the floor as he fled on foot. No shots were fired.

Following her arrest, Gangsta Boo was released on $100,000 bond pending a court appearance on January 5, 2010. Curtis was extradited from Memphis and booked into DeSoto County Jail on Wednesday (December 9) and is being held on $100,000 bond.

The 28-year-old is known for being an original member of Memphis rap group Three 6 Mafia and she has released three solo albums to date.

Nas Ordered To Pay Kelis $51K A Month

After a two-day long hearing, the AP reports that a Los Angeles judge has ordered Nas to pay Kelis a $51,101 a month in child and spousal support. Since July, Nas was forking over nearly $40,000 a month. On the flip side, Esco no longer has to cover the costs of their former L.A. home.

Tallahassee, Florida singer T-Pain didn't come onto the music scene by himself, he used to be a part of a popular Southern group called Nappy Heads.

Like most groups eventually end up doing, they split up pursuing solo careers hoping to gain more exposure which would ultimately help the group.

"None of the members [were meant to be seen] as the star of the group, they were all stars of a group. They were participants of a group."

Different artists such as Nelly, 50 Cent, Eminem, and their own success was meant to be a way to expose other talents within the click.

"It was a big family, all of us grew up together."

In the upcoming documentary called The Untold Story: Nappy Heads, T-Pain's former group members feel he hasn't done his part in making a way for the artists in which he started with. T-Pain is already in the works of a fourth album called Revolver and there still hasn't been any mention of the group reuniting musically.

T-Pain's former group members could tell that something shady was going on with him because he eventually lost sight of the group.

"We come in the studio to do work as a group, but he didn't wanna do nothing. The next day we come back in the studio, he got 2 and 3 songs by himself."

Also there is a source from the documentary stating that T-Pain has used the group for performances when he is home just so he receives an excited reaction from fans.

Nicki Minaj Responds To Being A Lesbian// & WEEZY enters jail in FEb 2010

There is a YouTube video surfacing the web with a lesbian woman who is supposedly Nicki Minaj back in the day before she became a "Barbie." In the video the woman said she and Remy Ma had relations and that Remy was fronting on her.

Nicki Minaj has a lot on her hands as she deals with pressures of being the single standing female artist in the main stream as of now. Her and other artists from the label will have to hold their own as their CEO Lil Wayne goes behind bars.

Minaj's relationship with Wayne has developed from mixtape collaborations to a record deal. She is Young Money's official first lady and has to fulfill high expectation demands from her label and fans.

Speaking to Hot 93.7, Nicki was able to talk about Lil Wayne's jail time.

"I just know that he's is going to be up there in February. I'll [visit him] as often as I can I mean, he's gonna be up in New York and I'm from New York, so, I would love to just come up there as often as I can," she said.

Nicki also feels that Wayne's time will go by fast and much love will be waiting for him when he returns to the game.

"He's gonna have so many people there. I'm sure it will go by like days to him. It will probably be a weird experience, but at the end of the day, he's gonna come out stronger like he always does. Nothing ever phases him really, which I guess is the story of a champion."

Minaj's schedule has been hectic and she continues to stay on her grind, so she is uncertain about the release of another mixtape, but fans will still get to hear from her through the features she will be making on other artists' songs.

"December 22nd, as well as Lil Wayne's Rebirth album," said Nicki in response to a question in regards to the release date of the upcoming Young Money compilation.

On Drake's noticeable absence from Wayne's rock album, she said, "I don't know [why Drake isn't on Rebirth], you gotta ask Lil Wayne and Drake. I don't have anything to do with that, but I do know Drake is probably going to be on Tha Carter IV."

"I would like it to be third quarter of 2010," said Nicki regarding her solo album release date. "I want people to get the chance to know me. Really know me."

Nicki says that Wayne has ensured that she will be straight business wise as she owns her publishing and merchandise.

Tyler Perry's Mother Dies:

Filmmaker Tyler Perry received some bad news Tuesday. Perry's mother, Maxine Perry, died at the age of 64. On his website, Perry made a brief announcement of his mother's death:"Willie Maxine Perry, February 12, 1945 to December 8, 2009, thank you for all your prayers."

The death of Tyler Perry's mother was not only significant because of her relationship to him, but also because she is the reason for his success. Perry's most famous character, Madea, was based on his mother. Madea has been the cornerstone character for many of Tyler Perry's most successful films, such as "Diary of a Mad Black Woman," "Madea Goes to Jail," "I Can Do Bad All by Myself" and his show, "House of Payne."

Perry's films have grossed more than $400 million worldwide. He also partnered with Oprah Winfrey as an executive producer for the hit film, "Precious." Perry's mother was sick for several months before her death and was a preschool counselor at the Jewish Community Center.

The following was taken from the alleged message to Uchitel from Woods:
